The panic started when the midday deadline came and went and I was nowhere near a computer.  What if it didn’t happen today?

All day the question plagued me.  What if the middle of the week passed and there was no post?  What would happen?  The world would keep on turning, yes I know this.   And I’m sure each follower and subscriber would forgive the lapse.  But I was really hating the idea that of all days, a Wednesday would go without a post.  Why was it eating at me?  What is it about this humpday ritual?

Well, for starters the blog is a labor of love – it’s the infant spawn of my creative expression.  I don’t want to be a neglectful parent.  But there was something else, something about the ‘middle’ and what it means.  It’s the heart of the matter, literally.  I remember learning in yoga that the heart center is the midline of the chest – it is the true middle, not just symbolically.  And then the dots began to connect.  The middle is home of the heart and the heart is the place of passion and passion is what gives fire and impetus to the soul.  It’s the essence of what it is that keeps me moving forward; striving to achieve, realize, accomplish.

The middle notes are an expression from the soul and embody my commitment to embrace art and creativity daily.  The middle day is the heart of the vow.  Turning up on Wednesday is an affirmation to celebrate the heart and passion of the creative spirit for another day and another week.  I might not have gotten to the computer before midnight on the East coast but my Wednesday didn’t end without a bow to the heart center.
