Coming in like a lion… mane and all.

What is up?! I know! It’s been forever. So much life happening in all of its extremes. I hope that you, my random readers and loving supporters have been well through the shifting landscapes of 2022. Before I get back to my weekly musings on art and life I’ll do a quick tour de force catch up.
On one hand I can’t believe it’s September, on the other there had to be a minimum of seven months for all the things!

So yeah, KINGS OF NAPA season one finished its run on OWN. If you haven’t checked out the King family and their formidable wine designer Grace (ahem), please do. It’s on OWNtv and their YouTube channel has loads of content. It’s a nighttime soap and sartorial whirlwind that was as much fun to make as it is to watch. While that was happening I was filming the first of many maternal roles this year. The trailer for SIX DEGREES OF SANTA just dropped on Insta. Yes, the Christmas movies are coming and we’ve barely gotten back to school! I’m just the messenger, but shoot me a comment on how you feel about Christmas movies.

I just realized that there are some things I still can’t share because we live in the world of NDA*s… information is a big commodity and every narrative is curated. So I’ll share that I’ve had a healthy (?) amount of time on faux hospital sets.

Maybe you saw me having some heart issues on GOOD SAM. Although that show has been cancelled there’s more hospital action to come. I’ve also spent an unhealthy amount of time in airport lounges… to date I’ve worked in Toronto, New York, Vancouver and Los Angeles. While good coffee is hard to come by and mediocre food comes with Michelin star prices, my nomadic spirit embraces all of it.

LARRY AND HIS NAVEL

Here’s a little treat from my travels.  Francophile me likes to read the inflight film and TV listings en français, which is how I discovered the French title for CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM translates back to English as….

LARRY AND HIS NAVEL

Could it be more perfect??? The majority of the time subtitles miss so much nuance and subtlety, I’ve never seen a more perfect translation.

I can’t wait to share more details from this year, my musings on creative life and my #huiegolightly adventures. Stay tuned. Stay curious.
