Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone by J.K. Rowling

“Damn girl, I don’t need no sugar after seeing that smile of yours.”  Carolyn blinked her bangs out of her eyes as she stirred the liquid sugar into her latte.  The condiment counter was tiny and she was self-conscious about taking too much time.  Her shy smile was a reflex but Carolyn let the smile stay.  He had nice green eyes with thick dark lashes, it gave him the romantic brooding look of an Indie band frontman.  But there was something else in his eyes that reminded Carolyn more of a dark thriller.  She turned the cream container handle to facilitate the awkward reach of his cast bound hand then reached for a lid and turned to go.  Something told her go now.  Go now and don’t look back.
