I’m a miracle baby. The chances that I should even be here on the planet are like one in a hundred thousand. Maybe more, math isn’t my forte. But I’m supposed to be here doing great things, great things that don’t involve math. Or drawing. I tried that but I didn’t draw one single clean line in three years of art school. My installations were popular though, especially the food pieces; people still talk about “Central Park”, with the taxidermied pigeons and gourmet croutons that visitors were invited to sample or throw at the birds. Critics found the subsequent “Loaves and Fishes” derivative. They also found my ‘miracle baby’ claims overused and trite. Pffft, I’ve never met anyone else who is the product of a vasectomied man and an IUD sporting woman. It’s probably why I’m a little messed up, but as soon I kick the horse I’m going to have a resurrection of epic proportions. It’s my destiny. I’m a myth made manifest, born with Phoenix blood in my veins. Just you wait.
